Compression garments (stockings, sleeves, gloves, etc.) are made with one of three fabrication techniques: (1) cut and sew; (2) circular knitting; (3) flat knitting. The strongest support can be offered by flat knitting techniques, which are almost always custom-made. These flat knits have few flat seams while circular knits are seamless and cut and sew garments have multiple seams.
