When to Take Measurements
It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment.

Measurement Points
Length measurements should be taken at each circumference. It is recommended that you mark the leg with a non-permanent, non-toxic marker at each circumference measurement made. The length measurement is then taken even with the floor, along the inside of the leg, up to each circumference point.

Infants and small children who have primary lymphedema need an economical solution to night time compression and need garments that will adapt to their rapidly changing size. Frequently the foot and ankle are swollen, but the toes develop deep skin creases at the joints and the nails are narrow and flared. This boot and JoViJacket will accommodate growth, and provide adequate compression over the toes, foot, ankle and lower leg.
